St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School operates a house system. There are six houses: Bethlehem (yellow), Fatima (orange), Mount Carmel (purple), Lourdes (blue), Guadalupe (red) and Knock (green).
The pupils collect house points for working hard in class and going above and beyond in their learning. House points are also awarded for other activities around the school that the pupils participate in. For example, during the sports day, the children are awarded house points based on and throughout the competition.
House points are published each week and each half term the pupils achieving the highest number of house points are awarded a house party. So far, some have the parties have included the ice-cream man coming to visit and a water fight.
